1.    India has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Madhya Pradesh Power Sector Investment Program - Project 2 and it is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be used for eligible payments under the contract named above.

2.    The Madhya Pradesh Poorv Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Co. Ltd. (MPPKVVCL) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the following:

Remote metering of LT consumers above 10 HP including supply of materials, survey, installation, testing and commissioning of energy meters, modems and other allied equipments including shifting of meters and replacement of service line and annual maintenance & operation for five years in the area under the jurisdiction of the borrower's company.

3.    International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope Bidding Procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

4.    To obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Documents, bidders should contact the following address from 13:00 to 17:00 hours during working days starting 10 June 2008:

5.    To purchase the Bidding Documents in English, eligible bidders should:

  • Pay a non refundable fee of Rs.10,000 or US$250 by demand draft or banker's cheque payable to RAO, JC, MPPKVVCL, Jabalpur (MP) India
  • The Bidding Documents will be obtained by hand or sent by domestic post or by courier outside India at additional cost. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery of the bidding documents.

6.    A pre-bid conference will be held at 15:00 hours on 2 July 2008 at Banquet Hall, Shakti Bhawan, Rampur, Jabalpur.

7.    Bidders must deliver their bids:

  • to the address above
  • on or before 15:00 hours, on 12 August 2008
  • together with a Bid Security of US$100,000 or Rs 0.40 Crore
8.    Bids will be opened at 15:30 hours on 12 August 2008 in the presence of bidders' representatives who chose to attend at the address above. Late bids will be rejected.

9.    MPPKVVCL will not be responsible for costs or expenses incurred by bidders in connection with the delivery or preparation of bids.
