1.      India has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Madhya Pradesh Power Sector Investment Program - Project 4 and it is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan to eligible payments under the contract named above.

2.      The Madhya Pradesh Poorv Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Co. Ltd. (MPPKVVCL) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the following:

3.      International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

4.      To obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Document, bidders should contact the address below from 13:00 to 17:00 hours during working days starting 8 October 2007:

5.      To purchase the Bidding Document in English, eligible bidders should:

• write to the address above
• pay a non refundable fee of Rs.10,000 or US$250 by demand draft or banker's cheque payable to RAO, JC, MPPKVVCL, Jabalpur (MP) India. The bid documents will be sent by post on payment of Rs.200/- extra.

6.      A pre-bid conference will be held at 15:00 hours on 30 October 2007 at Banquet Hall, Shakti Bhawan, Rampur, Jabalpur.

7.      Bidders must deliver their bids:

• to the address above
• at or before 14:30 hours, on 29 November 2007
• together with a Bid Security of US$122,730 or Rs0.54 crore

8.      Bids will be opened at 15:30 hours on 29 November 2007 in the presence of bidders' representatives who chose to attend at the address above. Late bids will be rejected.

9.      MPPKVVCL will not be responsible for costs or expenses incurred by bidders in connection with the delivery or preparation of bids.
