1. India has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Madhya Pradesh Power Sector Investment Program - Project 4 and it is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan to eligible payments under the contract named above.
2. The Madhya Pradesh Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Co. Ltd. (MPPKVVCL) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the following packages:

3. International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: Two-Envelope procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

5. To purchase the Bidding Document in English, eligible bidders should:
- pay a nonrefundable fee of Rs.10,000 or US$250 by demand draft or banker's cheque in favor of MPPKVVCL, Indore (MP) India
- the documents will be sent by post within India if required, on payment of Rs. 250 extra or may be obtained by hand. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery of he bid documents sent by registered post.
6. A pre-bid conference will be held at 11:00 hours on 15 November 2007.
7. Bidders must deliver their bids:
