1. India has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Madhya Pradesh Power Sector Investment Program - Project 4 and it is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be used for eligible payments under the contract named above.
2. The Madhya Pradesh Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Co. Ltd. (MPPKVVCL) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the following packages:

5 Bidding Documents in English may be purchased at the above address from 30 November 2007. Eligible bidders should:
- For PPR-5, 6, 7, 11 to 14: Pay a nonrefundable fee of Rs.10,000 or US$250 by demand draft or banker's cheque in favor of MPPKVVCL, Indore (MP) India
- For PPR-15 & 16: Pay a nonrefundable fee of Rs.5,000 or US$125 by demand draft or banker's cheque in favor of MPPKVVCL, Indore (MP) India
- The documents will be sent by post within India if required, on payment of Rs. 250 extra or may be obtained by hand. The documents will be sent by courier outside India at additional cost. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery of he bid documents sent by registered post.
6. A pre-bid conference will be held at 15:00 hours on 14 & 15 December 2007.
7. Bidders must deliver their bids:
- to the address above
- at or before 15:00 hours, on the abovementioned deadlines, respectively
- together with the Bid Security as mentioned above
8. Bids will be opened at 15:30 hours on the same day of the deadlines in the presence of bidders' representatives who chose to attend at the address above. Late bids will be rejected.
9. MPMKVVCL will not be responsible for costs or expenses incurred by bidders in connection with the delivery or preparation of bids.
