1.    India has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Madhya Pradesh Power Sector Investment Program - Project 4, and it is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied for eligible payments under the contract named above.

2.    The Madhya Pradesh Poorv Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Co. Ltd. (MPPKVVCL) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the following:

Supply of materials including survey, installation, testing and commissioning of LT system strengthening work, energy meters including shifting of meters and replacement of consumer's service line.

3.    International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

4.    To obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Document, bidders should contact the following from 13:00 to 17:00 hours during working days starting 26 August 2008:

5.    To purchase the Bidding Document in English, eligible bidders should:

  • Pay a non-refundable fee of Rs.10,000 or US$250 by demand draft or banker's cheque payable to RAO, JC, MPPKVVCL, Jabalpur (MP) India;
  • The Bidding Documents will be sent by post for an additional fee of Rs.250 (local delivery) or at cost for overseas delivery.

6.    A pre-bid conference will be held at 15:00 hours on 16 September 2008 at the Banquet Hall, Shakti Bhawan, Rampur, Jabalpur.

7.    Bidders must deliver their bids:

  • to the address above;
  • on or before 14:30 hours, on 19 November 2008;
  • together with a Bid Security of :
    Lot-I - US$ 1,62,500 or Rs 0.65 Crore
    Lot-II - US$ 1,13,872 or Rs 0.46 Crore

(In case of Bank guarantee, the same shall be on non-judicial stamp paper worth Rs. 250)

8.    Bids will be opened at 15:30 hours on 19 November 2008 in the presence of bidders' representatives who chose to attend at the address above. Late bids will be rejected.

9.    MPPKVVCL will not be responsible for costs or expenses incurred by bidders in connection with the delivery or preparation of bids.
