1. India has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Madhya Pradesh Power Sector Investment Program-Project -5 and it is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be used for eligible payments under the contract named above.
2. The Madhya Pradesh Pashchim Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Co. Ltd. (MPPKVVCL) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the following packages:

3. International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: Two-Envelope Bidding Procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.

Full details of technical specifications, qualifying criteria etc. are available on website-www.mppkvvcl.org. It is essential that the tender documents must be purchased from the Chief Engineer (Corporate Office) at the address indicated above. The last date of selling of tender documents shall be 12:00 noon on due date of opening of respective tenders. The tender document downloaded from website will not be entertained. In case of any ambiguity, the terms & condition mentioned in the tender document will be final.
5. To purchase the Bidding Documents in English, eligible Bidders should:
- visit the office of MPPKVVCL at the address indicated above from 11:00 to 17:00 hrs. during working days starting 18 August 2009 and pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 10,000 or US$ 250 payable by demand draft or banker's cheque in favour of MPPKVVCL Indore payable at Indore (M.P.) India. Cheque / Cash / Postal orders will not be accepted.

- request for delivery by sending a written application to the office of MPPKVVCL at the address indicated above. The application must include demand draft or banker's cheque in favour of MPPKVVCL Indore payable at Indore (M.P.) India, for the amount of Rs.10,250 (domestic delivery) or US$ 250. The Bidding Documents will be sent by domestic post and by courier outside India at an additional cost. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.
6. A Pre-Bid conference will be held at 15:00 hrs. on 25 August 2009.
7. Bidders must deliver their bids:
- to the address above;
- on or before 15:00 hrs on the dates indicated in the table above. Late bids will be rejected.
- together with the Bid Security as mentioned in the table above.
8. Bid will be opened at 15:30 hrs on the same day of the deadlines in the presence of Bidders' representatives who chose to attend at the address above.
9. The Madhya Pradesh Pashchim Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Co. Ltd. will not be responsible for costs or expenses incurred by Bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of Bids.
