Invitation for Bids

Loan	:	1983-INO: Power Transmission Improvement Sector Project
Contract	:	Package B-2 150kV Java Bali Transmission System
Deadline for Bids	:	4 October 2007

1. The Republic of Indonesia has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of theower Transmission Improvement Sector Project. Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above.

2. PT PLN (Persero) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of:

Package B-2: 150kV Transmission lines for the Java Bali Power Transmission System

Details and specifications are provided in the Bidding Document.

3. International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.

4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Document at the address given below.

5. The Bidding Documents, in the English language, may be purchased by any interested by interested Bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Rp.3.0 million or US$328. The method of payment will be by cash. The document may be collected from the address given below or may be sent by mail for courier services for an additional fee of Rp1.0 million or US$110.0 for each package. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

6. Site visit will be carried out from 18 to 25 July 2007. A Pre-bid Conference will be held at the above address on 31 July 2007.

7. All Bids must be delivered to the address above on or before 4 October 2007 together with a Bid Security of not less than 2% of the Total Bid Price. Bids will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend. Late Bids shall be rejected.

8. PT PLNS (Persero) will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of bids

9. In the comparison of Bids, ADB's Domestic Preference Scheme will be applied in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the Biding Documents.
