1. The Republic of Kazakhstan has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Rural Area Water Supply and Sanitation Sector Project (RAWSSP). Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.
2. The Committee for Water Resources under Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the construction of civil works for the above contract. Post-qualification will be applied for this contract. The works include:
Reconstruction of the WSS system at Novodolinka (Ereimentau rayon) settlement, comprising construction of:
- 2 boreholes (depth 60 m), construction of concrete pump station, size is 4.3×2.7m with 2 ultraviolet units, sanitary zone 102×102m;
- transmission pipeline, length is 4815 m from PE pipes with dia. 110 mm;
- construction of 2 clean water reservoirs with volume 150m3 each;
- construction of new pump station of 2nd level (6 x 6m);
- construction of steel water tower with height 18m and tank volume 50m3;
- construction of the distribution network of the settlement , length 9392 m with PE pipes DN 63-110 mm, installation of 35 public standpipes and 36 fire hydrants, septic-collector 5m3 - 5 units;
- power lines 10 kV x length 4880 m from existing transformers of 35/10kV to water facilities area with mounting of transformer 10/0.4kV 25 kVa and construction of power lines 10kV to water facilities area with installation of transformers 10/0.4kV 63kVa;
- Territory improvement (76 x 96m)
3. International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with Single-Stage: One-Envelope Bidding Procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.
4. Post qualification criteria will include several requirements on financial capacity, technical capability and works experience of which some are listed below:
- Minimum average annual turnover from construction business over the last three years of US$1.4 million.
- Carried out at least two similar projects with a value of at lea st US$0.7 million each.
- The overall contract completion period will be 14 months.

6. To purchase the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should:
- write to address above requesting the bidding documents for Contract No. ICB-07B (Ereimentau Rayon, Akmola oblast);
- pay a non-refundable fee of KZT 18,750 or US$ 150 by bank draft or pay order issued by a scheduled Bank in favour of the Central Project Coordination Unit, RAWSSP. The method of payment will be direct deposit to specified account. 7. Deliver your bid:
- to the address above;
- on or before the deadline: 15:00 p.m. on 4 September 2008;
- together with a Bid Security of 2% of the Bid Price;
- the document can alternatively be sent by DHL or UPS courier services. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.
Bids will be opened immediately after the deadline in the presence of bidders' representatives who choose to attend.
The Committee for Water Resources will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by the bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of bids.
