Invitation for Re-Bidding

1.    This Invitation for a re-bidding follows the first Invitation for Bids which appeared in the ADB Business Opportunities on 16 October 2007.

2.    The Ministry of Social Welfare and Labor of Mongolia has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Social Security Sector Development Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for Supply and Delivery of Information Technology Related Hardware and Services.

3.    The Ministry of Social Welfare and Labor of Mongolia now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the supply of IT equipment grouped into the following:

Lot no. 1 - Servers, others
Lot no. 2 - Desktop computers, printers, others
Lot no. 3 - Notebooks

Bidders are free to submit bids for one lot or any combination of lots.

4.    International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope Bidding Procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

5.    To obtain further information inspect the Bidding Document, bidders should contact the Project Management Unit (PMU) and at the address given below during 9:30-13:00 and 14:00-17:30 hours of Monday to Friday (Ulaanbaatar time).

6.    To purchase the Bidding Document in English, bidders should:

1. visit the office of the PMU at the address indicated below and pay a non-refundable fee of USD 80 in cash;

   or

2. request for delivery by sending a written application to the office of the PMU at the address indicated below. The method of payment will be by bank remittance with the bank details indicated below. The application must include a proof of remittance of $80 for local delivery or $120 for overseas delivery. The document will be sent by courier. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

7.    Bids must be delivered together with a Bid Security of least 1.0 percent of the total Bid Price which shall be denominated in the currency of the bid:

• on or before 14:30 hours of 16 June, 2008. Late bids shall be rejected.

Bids will be opened in the presence of the Bidders' representatives who choose to attend at the address above (at the same building, floor no. 4, meeting hall) immediately after the deadline for submission of bids.

8.    The Ministry of Social Welfare and Labor will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by Bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of Bids.
