Invitation for Bids
1. Mongolia has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Mongolian Customs Modernization Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments for the abovementioned contract. 2. The Mongolian Customs General Administration (MCGA) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Establishment of Customs Regional Laboratories. In recent years in Mongolia chemical substances have been used more in mining industries and others which led to increase of the export of mining products particularly. In relation to this circumstances, it become necessary for MCGA to improve the customs surveillance, control and investigation against the illegal turnover of drugs and narcotic substances and to use up-to-date equipments for customs examination. Therefore, the scope of this contract will include procurement of equipment to enhance the analytical capacity of customs laboratories. 3. International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single Stage: One Envelope Bidding Procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries. 4. Bids will be opened in the presence of the Bidders' representatives who choose to attend at the address above at 3:30 pm on 12 August 2009. 7. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of not less than 2% of the Bid Price in US Dollars or equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. 8. The Mongolian Customs General Administration will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by Bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of Bids. 9.
