1.    The Government of Nepal has received a grant from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Rural Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Sector Development Program (RRRSDP), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant to payments under the contract for Supply & Delivery of Four Wheel Drive Double Cab Pick-up.

2.    The Department of Local Infrastructure Development and Agricultural Roads (DoLIDAR), Rural Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Sector Development Program (RRRSDP), Project Coordination Unit (PCU) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Supply & Delivery of Four Wheel Drive Double Cab Pick-up (24 Nos).

3.    International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope Bidding Procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.

4.    Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the Department of Local Infrastructure Development and Agricultural Roads (DoLIDAR), Rural Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Sector Development Program (RRRSDP), Project Coordination Unit (PCU) and inspect the Bidding Document at the address given below during office hours.

5.    To purchase the Bidding Document in English, bidders should:

• submit a written application to the address below;
• pay a non-refundable fee of NRs 5,000 or US$ 75 plus NRs 3,500 (domestic delivery) or US$ 50.00 (overseas delivery) for courier/ mailing charges. The method of payment will be in the form of bank draft in favor of Nepal Bank Limited, Gahabal Branch, Lalitpur, Nepal.

6.    Bids must be delivered to:

• the address below
• on or before 12:00 hours of 7 August 2008. Late bids shall be rejected.

7.    All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of minimum US$ 26,000.00 or equivalent in Nepalese currency. If the bid security is issued by the banks outside Nepal, the bid security shall be counter guaranteed by Commercial banks within Nepal.

8.    The Department of Local Infrastructure Development and Agricultural Roads (DoLIDAR), Rural Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Sector Development Program (RRRSDP), Project Coordination Unit (PCU) will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by the Bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of the Bids.

Bids will be opened at 12.00 hours of 7 August 2008 in the presence of the Bidders or their representatives who choose to attend at the address below.
