Invitation for Prequalification
1. The People's Republic of China has applied for a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Anhui Integrated Transport Sector Improvement Project (Xuzhou-Mingguang Expressway Anhui Section). 2. China National Technical Import & Export Corporation (CNTIC), Procurement Agent, authorized by Anhui Provincial Department of Transport (Employer), intends to pre-qualify eligible firms(contractors) for the following civil works contracts under this project:
3. It is expected that the Invitation for Bids will be made in December 2009. 4. Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from Employer and inspect the Prequalification Document at the address given below, between 8:30 - 11:00 and 15:00 - 17:30 (Beijing time) starting on 20 October 2009. 5. Prequalification Document (in English) may be purchased by interested Applicants on the submission of a written application to Employer (address as below) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of RMB1,500 or USD220 or Euro148. The method of payment will be in cash or cashier check. If mail service is required, an extra fee of RMB100 or USD15 or Euro10 should be added. Employer will promptly dispatch the documents by registered airmail. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery. 6. Applications, clearly marked with "(Contract No. apply for) and Prequalification Document of project name", must be delivered to the Employer at the address indicate below at or before 16:00 p.m. on 1 December 2009. Late application will not be accepted. 7. The Employer will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by Applicants in connection with the preparation or delivery of their Applications. 8.
