1. The People's Republic of China has applied for a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Easter Eastern Sichuan Roads Development Project.
2. The China Machinery Import & Export Corporation (CMC), the authorized Procurement Agent of Sichuan Dashaan Expressway Company Ltd., the Employer, intends to prequalify firms for the following contracts:

3. It is expected that the Invitation for Bids will be made in October, 2007.
4. Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from the Employer and inspect the Prequalification Document at the Employer's address given below, from 0900 to 1700 hours (Beijing Time).
5. The Prequalification Document (English and Chinese languages) may be purchased by interested Applicants at the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee RMB2000 or in USD260. The method of payment will be cash, cashier's check or direct deposit to the Employer's account. The document will be sent by courier. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.
For domestic firms, the purchaser of Prequalification Document should present original copy of Qualification Certificate, original copy of Business License, ID of purchaser, and certificate letter from the applicant's firm.
6. Applications must be delivered to the Employer's address below at or before 1700 hours on 15 August 2007. The Employer reserves the right to accept or reject late applications. A compact disc or U-disc which include the files in PDF of experiences listed together with the application documents should be submitted.
7. The Employer will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by Applicants in connection with the preparation or delivery of their Applications.
8. The Employer will notify all Applicants in writing of the names of those Applicants who have been prequalified.
