Invitation for Bids
1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in the ADB Business Opportunities issued on 6 October 2006. 2. The People's Republic of China has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Henan Wastewater Management and Water Supply Sector Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract named above. 3. China National Machinery Import & Export Corporation (CMC), entrusted by Anyang Municipal Construction Investment Co., Ltd. (the Purchaser), now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Supply of Equipment for Zongcun Wastewater Treatment Plant.The equipment to be procured includes process equipment such as (i) mechanical screens, grit removal equipments, oxidation equipment, submersible pumps, flashboards and headstock gears, valves and fexible joints, hoisting equipments, (ii) ventilation equipments and accessories, (iii) electrical equipments, instruments and control systems. 4. International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope Bidding Procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB. 5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from CMC and inspect the Bidding Document at the address given below during working days from 9:30-11:30am and 1:00-4:00pm starting 23 May 2008. 6. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of CNY 1,000,000 or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend at the same address immediately after the deadline on 7 July 2008. 8. China National Machinery Import & Export Corporation will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by Bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of Bids. 9. In the comparison of Bids, ADB's Domestic Preference Scheme will be applied in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the Bidding Document. Specific Notice |
