1. The People's Republic of China has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Wuhan Wastewater and Stormwater Management Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contracts for Supply, Installation and Commissioning of Equipment for Changqing Pumping Station (Phase II). 2. Instrimpex International Tendering Company (the Procurement agent, CNIITC), authorized and on behalf of Wuhan Urban Construction Utilization of Foreign Investment Project Management Office (the Purchaser), now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the supply of the following Goods and related services: Mechanical Equipment - Grab Bucket Clearner - Vertical Mixed Flow Pump Material Listing - Reducing Pipe with Double Flange - Straight Pipe with Double Flange 3. International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope Bidding Procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries. 4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from CNIITC, and inspect the Bidding Document at the address given below from 7 July 2008 to 19 August 2008 at working time 8:30-11:30, 13:30-16:30. 5. To purchase the Bidding Document in English, bidders should: (a) visit the office of CNIITC at the address indicated below and pay a nonrefundable fee of RMB 1,800 or USD250 in cash, or (b) request for delivery by sending a written application to CNIITC at the address indicated below. The application must include a cashier's check of RMB1,900 for local delivery or $270 for overseas delivery. The document will be sent by courier. 7. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of not less than 2% of the total Bid Price in the bid currency. 8. CNIITC and the Purchaser will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by Bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of Bids. 9. In the comparison of Bids, ADB's Domestic Preference Scheme will be applied in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the Instructions to Bidders.
