1.    The People's Republic of China has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Environment Improvement Project. Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to eligible bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

2.    The China Far East International Tendering Company (CFEITC), the authorized Procurement Agent of PMO of Inner Mongolia (the Employer) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the procurement of sleeve pipes and tubes including Prefabricated Polyurethane Heat Insulating Pipes and joints for direct burying and Spiral Welded Steel Pipe in Wuhai City, Inner Mongolia.

3.    International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope Bidding Procedure .

4.    To obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents, bidders should contact the follow address between 9:30a.m-11:30a.m and 13:00p.m-15:30p.m (Beijing Time) from 7 August 2008 to 6 September 2008 during workdays:

5.    To purchase the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should:

1. visit the office of CFEITC at the address indicated above and pay a nonrefundable fee of CNY2,300.00 or USD350.00 in cash,or
2. request for delivery by sending a written application to CFEITC at the address indicated above. The application must include a cashier's check over CNY 2,600.00 for domestic delivery or USD400.00 for overseas delivery. The document will be sent by courier. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

6.    Deliver your bid:

• on or before 9:30A.M (Beijing Time)on 7 September 2008

7.    All Bids much be accompanied by a Bid Security of not less than 2% of the total Bid Price or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.

Bids will be opened immediately after the deadline in the presence of bidders' representatives who choose to attend at the address advised as above.
