1.    The People's Republic of China has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Nanjing Qinhuai River Environmental Improvement Project. Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contracts named above. Bidding is open to bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

2.    Instrimpex International Tendering Company (CNIITC), the Procurement Agent authorized by Nanjing Municipal Water Co. Ltd., the Purchaser, now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the procurement of goods for City East Wastewater Plant. The contract is divided into five packages, the details and specifications are provided in Section 6 in the Bidding Document.

Bidders may bid for one package or any combination of packages.

3.    International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope Bidding Procedure .

5.    To purchase the bidding document, interested bidders should:

1. visit the office of Instrimpex International Tendering Company at the address indicated above and pay a nonrefundable fee of CNY 2,000 or dollar equivalent in cash from 6 May 2008 to 18 June 2008 at 8:30-11:00 and 13:30-16:00;
   

   or

2. request for delivery by sending a written application to Instrimpex International Tendering Company at the address indicated above. The application must include a cashier's check of CNY 2,100 for local delivery or CNY 2,350 or $350 for overseas delivery. The document will be sent by courier. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

6.   Bids must be delivered together with a Bid Security of not less than 2% of the total Bid Price:

7.    When comparing Bids, ADB's Domestic Preference Scheme will be applied in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the Bidding Document.
