Credit Marketing Facility

The Credit Marketing Facility (CMF) has been established under Carbon Market Initiative (CMI). CMF assists sponsors to market additional credits generated beyond those that have been sold upfront to Asia Pacific Carbon Fund (APCF).

APCF provides co-financing for CDM Projects supported by ADB in return for the supply of a proportion of the CERs to be generated from such projects. The Sponsor may sell any CERs in excess of those CERs sold to the APCF or where the APCF declines to purchase such CERs.

ADB retains two agents (Sellers’ Representative), to assist and advise the Sponsor to sell such CERs. The Sellers’ Representative will be called upon to provide such agency services following the request of a Sponsor.

The Sellers’ Representative is expected to:

  1. Sell the CERs at the best price, under the most favorable terms, at the earliest possible time, and with the reasonable service fees
  2. Possess the capability to effectively communicate with Sellers
  3. Identify, avoid and/or manage conflicts of interest between or among the Seller, Sellers’ Representative, ADB, APCF, potential buyers, and agents and brokers, if any, to get the best price and most favorable terms for the sale of the CERs
  4. Coordinate closely with ADB for, among others, regular updates on the Sellers’ Representative’s marketing activities in relation to the sale of the CERs, and monitoring after carbon credit registration

ADB Retained Sellers' Representatives:
