Over the past decade, ADB has provided close to US$2 billion in assistance for energy and environment-related projects. ADB has mainstreamed the vision of clean development and climate change and has expanded its services to promoting sustainable growth in Asia and the Pacific.

To better serve its developing member countries, ADB's clean energy projects are aimed at facilitating the development of renewable energy, scaling-up of supply and demand side energy efficiency, increasing modern and sustainable energy access for the poor, and leveraging private sector participation in energy generation.
