Cofinancing

Our Role

ADB's role in arranging official loan cofinancing for a project will depend on the mode of cofinancing for the project, the wishes of the borrowing DMC, and the policies and capacity of official cofinanciers. Our role can include

• actively soliciting cofinancing for a project that ADB will fully appraise and administer

• providing information regarding the feasibility and viability of a project for which ADB seeks cofinancing, regardless of the mode of cofinancing

• holding frequent consultations with cofinanciers in the field and at headquarters levels from the early stages of the project processing cycle

• providing administrative services in respect of procurement, disbursement and other matters as required by cofinanciers if their funds are untied
