Consultation on ADB's Current Disclosure and Information Policies

In mid-August 2003, ADB invited the public to comment on the implementation of ADB's Information Policy and Strategy and the Policy on Confidentiality and Disclosure of Information, and to suggest improvements.

Respondents provided over 70 sets of comments, including those received just prior to, or after, the formal comment period. All of the comments were given serious consideration during formulation of the draft Public Communications Policy, which on 28 February 2004 was made available for public comment (through 28 May 2004). The majority of comments were provided by non-profit, non-government organizations, mostly from developing countries, a few libraries and academic institutions.

Read the compilation of external comments and ADB's responses.
