Brief Description of Project:
The main objective of the consulting services is to assist ERA and PWD in preparation of state roads projects to improve key state road sections and identified new road sections for possible financing by ADB. The PPTA will also identify the need and scope of capacity building of the road sector institutions like the state PWD, etc. for efficient and sustainable management of the road assets.Brief Description of Consultant Services to be Procured:
An international firm in association with domestic consultants will be engaged in accordance with ADB's Guidelines on the Use of Consultants. The TA will be carried out by
- a firm of consultants consisting of experts in highway engineering with experience in institutional development; traffic engineering, design and economics; geotechnical engineering; road and bridge design; engineering survey; material and pavement engineering, and
- individual consultants to carry out social impact assessment, resettlement and rehabilitation, and environmental assessment; and provide guidance and assistance to GOJK on procedural requirements and required activities for project preparation and implementation including documentation and evaluation of procurement.
