Mongolia has received a loan from the Asian Development (ADB) towards the cost of Regional Roads development Project and it is intended this part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for which Invitation for Prequalification is issued.

The Ministry of Road, Transport, and Tourism (the Employer), invites firms to prequalify for the following contract associated with the project:

Civil works for project roads, including two access roads linking Sainshand.

Details and specification are provided in the Bidding Document.

It is expected that Invitation for Bids will be made available from 15 September-10 October 2005.

The Employer will send you the Prequalification Document by airmail for overseas delivery and surface mail or courier services for local delivery. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

To apply for prequalification, deliver your application to the address below on or before 29 July 2005. The Employer reserves the right to accept or reject late applications and is not responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by bidders in connection with the delivery or preparation of bids.

The Employer will send all applicants a list of those who prequalify the contract.

Prequalified bidders can expect to receive invitations for bids in September 2005.
