The National Power Corporation (NPC) has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Electricity Market and Transmission Development Project. Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above.

The National Transmission Corporation now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Supply and Delivery of Substation Equipment for Mindanao Substation Expansion.

International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Two-Stage: Two-envelope procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.

To obtain the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should:

  • write to the address above
  • pay a non-refundable fee of P30,000 or US$550 by cash or cashier's check addressed to National Transmission Corporation.

The document will be sent by airmail for overseas delivery and surface mail or courier for local delivery. The Purchaser accepts no liability for loss or late delivery.

Bidders shall submit their bids:

  • on or before the deadline: 1:00 p.m., 5 August 2005. Late bids will be rejected.
  • together with a Bid Security of US$200,000 or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency
  • to the address above

Bids will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend.

The National Transmission Corporation is not responsible for bidders' expenses associated with preparing and delivering bids.

When comparing Bids, ADB's Domestic Preference Scheme will be applied in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the Bidding Document.
