The People's Republic of China has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Acid Rain Control and Environmental Improvement Project in Anhui, and it is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for which this Invitation for Bids is issued.

The China Machinery and Equipment International Tendering Co., Ltd. (CMEITC), the Procurement Agent for Anhui Wuhu Shanjiang Chemical Co., Ltd., Purchaser, now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for:

The design, manufacture, supply, installation and technical training for the procurement of equipment for Liquid Caustic Soda Concentration Plant of Anhui Wuhu Shanjiang Chemical Co. Ltd.

International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single Stage: One Envelope bidding procedure and is open to bidders from eligible source countries.

To obtain the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should
  • write to the address above
  • between 9:00 and 11:30 and 13:30 16:00 hours from 5 May to 3 July 2005 except weekends and holidays
  • pay a nonrefundable fee of USD240 or RMB2,0000
The Purchaser will send the Bidding Document by express mail. The Purchaser accepts no liability for loss or late delivery.

Bidders should submit their bids:
  • on or before 10:00 am (Beijing time) on 3 July 2005
  • to the above address
  • together with a Bid Security of not less than 2% of the total bid price.
The Purchaser is not responsible for bidders' expenses associated with preparing and delivering bids.
