1. The Republic of Azerbaijan has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Flood Mitigation Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for the procurement of excavators and bulldozers.

2. The Amelioration and Water Farm Agency now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the following :

Lot 1: Excavators, 5 units, with bucket capacity of 1.0-1.4 m3
Lot 2: Bulldozers , 5 units, with capacity of not less than 200 HP and operation weight of not less than 20 tons.

Details and specifications are provided in the Bidding Document

Bidders may bid for one or two lots.

3. International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One Envelope procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the office address given below.

5. The Bidding Document, in the English language, may be purchased by interested Bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of New Azeri Manat 200 or in US$200.00. The method of payment will be by bank transfer at:

Documents will be sent by airmail services for overseas delivery and surface mail or courier for domestic delivery. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

6. Bids must be delivered to the to the address below at or before 1700 hours on 2 August 2006. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of not less than two percent (2%) of the Total Bid Price in an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. Bids will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend.

7. The Amelioration and Water Farm Open Joint Stock Company will not be responsible for costs or expenses incurred by bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of bids.
