Loan No.1792: Technological and Professional Skills Development Sector Project
Supply, Delivery and Installation of Laboratory Equipment for Mechanical and Telecommunication Engineering Study Programs
1. The Republic of Indonesia has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Technological and Professional Skills Development Sector Project (TPSDSP), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for the supply, delivery and installation of laboratory equipment for mechanical and telecommunication engineering study programs 2. The TPSDSP, Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of National Education, through the Sub Project Management Unit (SPMU) of Politeknik Negeri Lhokseumawe now invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders from member countries for the supply, delivery and installation of the following goods. Laboratory Equipment for Mechanical and Telecommunication Engineering Study Programs (Details and specifications are provided in the Bidding Document). 3. International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage:Two Envelopes bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries. 4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from SPMU-TPSDSP and inspect the Bidding Document at the address given below from 08:00 a.m. to 02:00 p.m. local time (except Sundays and holidays). 5. The Bidding Documents, in the English language, may be purchased by any interested by interested Bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of US$100. The method of payment will be by cashier's check. The document will be sent by airmail for overseas delivery and surface mail or courier for local delivery. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery. 6. All Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 10:00 am (local time) on 1 June 2006. Bids will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the Bidders' representatives who choose to attend. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of US$13,000 or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. Late Bids shall be rejected. 7. TPSDSP will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by Bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of Bids. Pre-bid meeting will be held on 12 April 2006. Alternative Bids will not be considered. 8. In the comparison of Bids, ADB's Domestic Preference Scheme will be applied in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the Instruction to Bidders.SPMU-TPSDSP
