1. The People's Republic of China has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Acid Rain Control and Environmental Improvement Project. Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.

2. The CNCCC International Tendering Co., Ltd. (Procurement Agent), for and on behalf of Anhui Jiuhuashan Tourism Group Co., Ltd. (the Purchaser), now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the necessary labor, materials, equipment and services for the following contract:

Bid No. 0704-0620CNCCCJH6/01 Construction, Installation and Equipment Procurement of Kecun Wastewater Treatment Plant Project (General contracting)

Bid No. 0704-0620CNCCCJH7/01 Construction, Installation and Equipment Procurement of Jiuhuajie Wastewater Treatment Plant Project (General contracting)

Details and specifications are provided in the Bidding Document.

International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

3. To obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents, bidders should contact the following address from 8:30 to 11:00 am and 1:00 to 4:30 pm (Beijing time) starting from 21 April 2006 (except weekends and holidays):

4. To obtain the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should:

  • write to the above address
  • pay in cash, check or T/T at Bank of Communications Beijing Branch, Account: 149-2013100316, a non-refundable fee of RMB2000 or US$240 for each set.

The Purchaser will send the Bidding Document by express mail for an additional fee of RMB400 or USD50 for each set. The Purchaser accepts no liability for loss or late delivery.

5. Deliver your bid: ·
  • on or before the deadline: 9:00 a.m. (Beijing time), 2 June 2006. Late bids will be rejected
  • together with a Bid Security of not less than 2% of total bid price
  • to the following address:

Bids will be opened immediately after the deadline for submission of bids in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend at the above address.

The Purchaser and the Procurement Agent are not responsible for bidders' expenses associated with preparing and delivering bids.

6. In the comparison of bids, ADB's Domestic Preference Scheme will be applied in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the Bidding Document.
