Loan:BAN: Proposed Sustainable Power Sector Development Project
Contract Nos.:Packages 3, 4, and 5

1. The People's Republic of Bangladesh has applied for a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Sustainable Power Sector Development Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract named above.

2. The Dhaka Electric Supply Co Ltd. (DESCO) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning on turnkey basis of the following:

Bidders are free to bid for one or any combination of lots.

3. International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: Two-Envelope procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Document at the address given below.

5. The Bidding Document, in the English language, may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tk.5,000 for each Bidding Docuemnt. The method of payment will be through a pay order or demand draft drawn in favor of DESCO.

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before the time and dates shown in the table above. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount shown in the table above.

7. Bids will be opened on the time and dates shown in the table above at the given address below in presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend.

8. In the comparison of bids, ADB's Domestic Preference Scheme will be applied in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the Bidding Document.
