1. India has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Urban Water Supply and Environmental Improvement in Madhya Pradesh Project and it is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for which this Invitation for Bids is issued.

Plant-Design, Supply and Install 120 MLD output capacity water treatment plant with clear water reservoir, pumping station and 33 kV substation at Ramnagara, Jabalpur. 		Minimum Average Annual Construction Turnover of INR 1240 Lakh or US$2,700,000.00 within the last three financial years.

The minimum cash flow requirement shall be INR 310 Lakh or US$ 675,000

The bidder shall have successfully completed a single similar contract of INR 1240 Lakh or US$2,700,000 in the last ten years. The bidder shall have constructed at least one treatment plant of 60 MLD capacity on turnkey basis in the last 10 years. The plant should be under successful operation at least for the last year up to the date of bid submission.

3. In case of joint venture, all partners combined must meet all financial and relevant experience requirements. Lead partner must meet 40% of all financial requirements and each of the other partner (s) must meet the minimum 25% of all financial requirements.

4. International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage Two-Envelope Bidding Procedure. The bids may either be sent to the address below or may be submitted electronically

7. To purchase the Bidding Document in English, eligible bidders should:
  • pay a nonrefundable fee of Rs.3,500 or US$80 by demand draft in name of Project Manager, PIU, Jabalpur payable at Jabalpur.

8. Bidders must deliver their bids:
  • to the address above
  • at or before 16:00 hours, local time on 10 July 2007
  • together with a Bid Security of Rs.5,000,000 or US$107,000

9. Bids will be opened immediately after the deadline in the presence of bidders' representatives who chose to attend. Late bids will be rejected.
