This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in the "ADB Business Opportunities", Volume 26/No. 1 of January 2004.
The People's Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of the Power Sector Development Project. Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract for procurement of 11/0.415KV Distribution Transformer, 11KV DOFC with Fuse Link, 11 KV Lightning Arrester and LV MCCB with Enclosure, Contract No. 6.
The Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) ("the Purchaser") now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders from member countries of ADB for the supply of the following Lots:

The bidders can bid for any or all the four lots and the award shall be lot wise.

International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.

To obtain the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should:
- write to the address above
- pay a non-refundable fee of Tk5,000 or US$100 by demand draft or pay order in favour of Director, Purchase, Bangladesh Power Development Board, Dhaka.
Bidders shall submit their bids:
- on or before the deadline : 11:00 am (BST) on 17 March 2005 (Late bids will be rejected.)
- together with a Bid Security of:
