India has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Madhya Pradesh Sector Development Project. Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above.

The Madhya Pradesh State Electricity Board now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Procurement of various items materials for distribution projects. The details of items/materials covered under the respective Bid Identification are:

International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.

To obtain the bidding documents in English (available from 22 January 2005), eligible bidders should:

  • write to the address above
  • pay a non-refundable fee of Rs5,000 or US$100 by demand draft or banker's cheque payable to RAO (CAU), MPSEB, Jabalpur (M.P. INDIA)

The Purchaser will send the Bidding Documents by mail or may be obtained by hand. The Purchaser accepts no liability for loss or late delivery.

Bidders shall submit their bids:

  • to the address above
  • on or before the deadline: 14:30 hours on the specified Bid submission date indicated in the table below (Late bids will be rejected.)
  • together with a Bid Security as indicated in the table below

The Purchaser is not responsible for bidders' expenses associated with preparing and delivering bids.

Bids will be opened:

  • in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend
  • at 15:30 hours on the specified bid submission date indicated in the table above
  • at the address above

In the comparison of Bids, ADB' Domestic Preference Scheme will be applied in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the Bidding Document.
