The Kingdom of Nepal has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Rural Electrification, Distribution and Transmission Project. Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above.
The Nepal Electricity Authority ("the Purchaser") now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for supply, delivery and installation of a computerized customer billing system.
International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: Two-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.

To obtain the bidding document in English, eligible bidders should:
- write to the address above
- pay a non-refundable fee of Nepalese rupees 5,000 or an equivalent amount in US dollars by bank voucher to the Project Saving Account No. 050691 at the Agricultural Development Bank, Bag Bazaar, Kathmandu, Nepal.
Bidders shall submit their bids:
- on or before the deadline: 12:00 hours on 7 April 2005. Late bids will be rejected.
- together with a Bid Security of not less than US$10,000 or an equivalent amount in Nepalese Rupees. However, bid securities issued by the Nepal Bank Limited will not be accepted.
- to the address
The Purchaser is not responsible for bidders' expenses associated with preparing and delivering bids.
Technical bids will be opened:
- in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend
- at 15:00 hours 7 April 2005

In the comparison of Bids, ADB's Domestic Preference Scheme will be applied in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the Bidding Document.
