The People's Republic of China has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Chongqing-Guizhou Roads (Chongzun Expressway Project). Part of this loan will be used for payments under this supply contract for Electrical and Mechanical Facilities. Bidding is open to bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.

CMC International Tendering Corporation (CITC), authorized by Guizhou Expressway Development Corp. (GEDC) (the Purchaser), invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply, installation and related service of the following goods:

Bidders may bid for any lot. Bids shall be submitted under separate cover for each lot. Bids for partial lots will be rejected.

International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.

To purchase the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should:

  • write to the CITC address or visit the CITC office between 09:00 and 16:00 hours (Beijing time) from 4 January 2005 to 3 March 2005 (except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays)
  • pay a non-refundable fee of RMB1000 or US$120. The document will be sent by courier promptly. Courier services are available for an additional fee of RMBY400 or US$50.

Bidders shall deliver their bids:

  • to the Purchaser (Guizhou Expressway Development Corporation)
  • on or before the deadline: 10:00 am (Beijing time) on 4 March 2005.
  • together with a Bid Security for each contract package as indicated below. Late bids shall be rejected.

Bids will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of bidders' representatives who choose to attend.

Guizhou Expressway Development Corporation (GEDC) (The Purchaser) will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by Bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of Bids.

When comparing Bids, ADB's Domestic Preference Scheme will be applied in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the Bidding Document.
