The People's Republic of China has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Acid Rain Control and Environmental Improvement Project. Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above.
The China Far East International Trading Corporation (Procurement Agent) (hereinafter referred to as "CFE-ITC"), for and on behalf of Chizhou Non-ferrous Metals Group Company, Ltd. ("the Purchaser") now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply and delivery of the following goods:
Package 2: Steel; 6,123.5 tons
Details and specifications are provided in the Bidding Document.
International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

To obtain the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should:
- write to the address above
- pay a non-refundable fee of Y2,000 each or its equivalent in US dollars.
Requests submitted by mail should include a certified check in favour of CFE-ITC over the amount and in the currency indicated above plus the postage fee of US$50 (abroad) or Y50 (domestic). The Purchaser will send the Bidding Document by express mail. The Purchaser accepts no liability for loss or late delivery.
Bidders should submit their bids:
- on or before the deadline: 10:00 A.M. , 25 April 2005. Late bids will be rejected.
- together with a Bid Security of not less than 2% of bid price
- to the address above
The Purchaser is not responsible for bidders' expenses associated with preparing and delivering bids.
Bids will be opened:
- in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend
