The Republic of Indonesia has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Power Transmission Improvement Sector Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for which this Invitation for Bids is issued.

PT. PLN (Persero), the Employer, now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders from member countries of ADB for the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of:

C3: 150kV Transmission Line Karang Joang-Kuaro-Tanjung

C4: 150 kV Substation Karang Joang and Kuaro

International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single Stage: One Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Document at the address given below.

To purchase the Bidding Document in English, eligible bidders should:
  • write to the address above
  • pay a nonrefundable fee of Rp 3.0 million or US$300 for each package in cash

The Bidding Document may be collected from the above address or may be sent by courier for an additional fee of of Rp.1 milion or US$100.0 for each package.

Site visit will be carried out from 1 March to 7 March 2006 and the Pre-bid Conference will be held at the above address on 9 March 2006.

Bidder should deliver their bids:
  • to the address above
  • on or before 31 May 2006
  • together with Bid Security of not less than 2% of the Total Bid Price or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency

Late bids will be rejected.

Bids will be opened immediately at the address above in the presence of the bidders representatives who choose to attend.

The Employer will not be responsible for costs or expenses incurred by bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of bids.

In the comparison of bids, ADB's Domestic Preference Scheme will be applied in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the Bidding Document.
