The People's Republic of China has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Chongqing Guizhou Roads Development (Leichong Expressway) and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for which this Invitation for Bids is issued.

CMC International Tendering Corporation (CITC), the Procurement Agent, authorized by Chonqing Expressway Development Co., Ltd. South Construction Branch, the Purchaser, now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders from member countries of ADB for the supply, delivery, installation and related services of the following goods:

International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.

Bidder may bid for one lot or both lots.

To purchase the Bidding Document in English, eligible bidders should:
  • write to the above address of the Procurement Agent between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm from 14 March to 22 May 2006
  • pay a nonrefundable fee of RMBY 2,400.0 or USD300.0 for both packages

Bidder should deliver their bids:
  • to the above address of the Purchaser
  • at or before 10:00 a.m. (Beijing Time) on 22 May 2006
  • together with Bid Security of
    Package SDJK-1: RMB640,000.0 or USD80,000.0
    Package SDJK-2: RMB640,000.0 or USD80,00.0

Late bids will be rejected.

Bids will be opened immediately in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend at the address given above.

The Purchaser will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of bids.
