The People's Republic of China has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank towards the cost of Central Sichuan Roads Development Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to eligible payments under the contract for which this Invitation for Prequalification is issued.

Sichuan Yaxi Expressway Co., Ltd. intends to prequalify firms for the following 27 International Competitive Bidding (ICB) contracts:

The Central Sichuan Roads Development Project is a 4-lane, all access controlled expressway. The civil works of the Project includes subgrade, structural and tunnel works with 27 contract sections.

It is expected that the Invitation for Bids will be made in July 2006.

Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information and inspect the Prequalification Document from the addresses given below, between 0900 to 1130 hours and 1400 to 1700 hours (Beijing time) except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

To purchase the Prequalification Document in English, eligible Applicants should:
  • Submit a written application to the addresses below from 20 March 2006
  • pay of a non-refundable fee of RMB1,000 or US$ 120 in cash, check or direct deposit

The Prequalification Document will be sent by courier for an additional fee of RMB200 or US$20. The Employer or the Procurement Agent will immediately dispatch the Document.
