Grant 0020: Second Education Project

The Kyrgyz Republic has received a grant from the Asian Development Bank(ADB) towards the cost of the Second Education Project. The grant was approved on 27 October 2005.

The grant include the following components:
Component 1.1. Modernizing curriculum and developing new learning materials
Component 1.2. Modernizing learning assessment
Component 2. Strengthening the Teaching Profession
Component 3. Improving Participation and Quality in Rural Schools

Procurement
Procurement of goods and services will follow ADB's Procurement Guidelines.

Civil Works: Renovation of 90 (ninety) rural schools all over Kyrgyz Republic
Goods: Computers, Office and Education Equipment.

Consulting Services:
ADB-financed consultants will be selected and engaged according to the ADB's Guidelines on the Use of Consultants and other arrangements acceptable to ADB.

Consultants will be required in the fields of financial management audit and education policy researches.
