1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in the January 2001 issue of the "ADB Business Opportunites".

2. The Republic of Indonesia has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Technological and Professional Skills Development Sector Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract named above.

3. The Ministry of National Education now invites sealed bids for the rehabilitation of Universitas Syiah Kuala building and reconstruction of Universitas Iskandarmuda building.

3. International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Document at the address given below.

5. The Bidding Document, in the English language, may be purchased by interested bidders on submission of a written application to the address above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of USD250 to Siti Sundari, TPSDP. The documents will be sent by airmail. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

6. Bids must be delivered to the address above at or before 12:00nn on 20 April 2007. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of IDR640 million. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend at the address below.

7. TPSDP is not responsible for costs or expenses incurred by bidders' in connection with the preparation or delivery of bids.
