1. India has applied for financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Madhya Pradesh Power Sector Investment Program - Distribution Efficiency Enhancement and it is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan to eligible payments under the contract named above.

2. The M.P. Poorv Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Co. Ltd. (MPPKVVCL)now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the following:

Bidders are free to bid for one lot or a combination of lots.

3. International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

5. To purchase the Bidding Document in English, eligible bidders should:
  • pay a nonrefundable fee of Rs.10,000 or US$230 by demand draft or banker's cheque payable to RAO, JC, MPPKVVCL, Jabalpur (MP) India
  • the documents will be sent by post

6. A pre-bid conference will be held at 15:00 hours on 18 April 2007.

7. Bidders must deliver their bids:
  • to the address above
  • at or before 14:30 hours, on 7 May 2007
  • together with a Bid Security of :

    Lot 2: US$224,700 or Rs 0.99 crore
    Lot 3: US$202,500 or Rs 0.89 crore

8. Bids will be opened at 15:30 hours on 7 May 2007 in the presence of bidders' representatives who chose to attend at the address above. Late bids will be rejected.

9. MPPKVVCL will not be responsible for costs or expenses incurred by bidders in connection with the delivery or preparation of bids.
