The Islamic Republic of Pakistan has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Women Health Project, and it is intended to apply part of the proceeds of the loan to eligible payments under the contracts for which this Invitation for Bid is issued.

The Project Coordination Unit (PCU), Women Health Project Punjab now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders from member countries of the ADB for the procurement of:

Lot No. 10: Ambulances

International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to Bidders from eligible source countries.

Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the address given below.

To purchase the Bidding Document in English, eligible bidders should:
  • write to the address below
  • pay of a non-refundable fee of PRs 5,000 or US$100 in cash or bank draft in favor of Government of Punjab, Health Department

The document will be sent by registered air mail. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

Bidders should submit their bids:
  • to the address below
  • on or before 1100 hours on 10 November 2005 together with a Bid Security of not less than 2% of the total Bid amount

Bids will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the Bidders' representatives who choose to attend. Late Bids shall be rejected.

The PCU Women Health Project Punjab will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by Bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of Bids.
