The People's Republic of China has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of West Henan Agricultural Development Project. Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above.

CMC International Tendering Corporation (CITC, the "Procurement Agent"), authorized by Henan Dingyuan Breeder Cow Breeding Cow Breeding Farm ("the Purchaser") now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply, of 700 Heads Holstein Cows.

International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.

To obtain the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should:

  • contact the address above between 9:00 hours and 16:00 hours (Beijing time) from 27 September 2005 to 26 November 2005
  • pay a non-refundable fee of RMB 900 or US$ 110.

The Purchaser will send the Bidding Document by mail for an additional fee of RMB100 or US$12. The Purchaser accepts no liability for loss or late delivery.

Bidders shall submit their bids:
  • on or before the deadline: 10:00 a.m. (Beijing time), 26 November 2005. Late bids will be rejected.
  • together with a Bid Security of not less than 2% of the bid price.
  • to the address above

The Purchaser is not responsible for bidders' expenses associated with preparing and delivering bids.

Bids will be opened immediately thereafter:
  • in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend
  • at the address below
