Invitation for Bids

The People's Republic of China has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Shanxi Road Development II Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to eligible payments under the contract for which this Invitation for Bids is issued. China Far East International Trading Company, the Procurement Agent, on behalf of Shanxi Hou-yu Expressway Co. Ltd., the Purchaser, now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of goods for the Project: " Bid No. 0722-0520FE207ZHR: Houma-Yumenkou Expressway Traffic Monitoring, Communication and Toll Collection (Details and specifications are provided in the Bidding Document) International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single Stage: One-Envelope Bidding Procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB. The Bidder should have at least two similar projects including tolling, communication and monitoring system in closed expressway in the last five years. At least one of them should be more than 30 toll lanes and 80 km long and one should have been successfully operated for two years Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Documents at the office addresses given below. To purchase the Bidding Document in English, eligible bidders should:

- pay a nonrefundable fee of RMB 2,000 or USD250 in cashier's check, credit check, or telegraphic transfer to the account below:

China Far East International Tendering CompanyLate bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened immediately in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend at the Purchaser's address given above. The Procurement Agent and the Purchaser will not be responsible for costs or expenses incurred by bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of bids. In the comparison of bids, ADB's Domestic Preference Scheme will be applied in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the Instruction to Bidders.
