This Invitation for Prequalification follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in the "ADB Business Opportunities" on October 2003.

The People's Republic of China has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Xi'an Urban Transport Project.

China International Tendering Company (hereinafter referred to as "ITC"), authorized by Xi'an Third Ring Road Construction and Development Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as "Employer"), intends to prequalified firms for the following contract(s) of Roadside management and Landscaping under this project:

The contents of all 17 following contracts of Roadside management and Landscaping Work are similar, each including Landscaping, tree planting and grass sodding and etc.

It is expected that the Invitation for Bids will be made in December 2005.

Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from China International Tendering Company (CITC) and inspect the Prequalification Document at the address given below, between 9:00 - 11:00 and 14:00 - 16:00 (Beijing time) (except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays).

The Prequalification Document, in the English language, may be purchased by interested Applicants on the submission of a written application at the office of China International Tendering Company, between 9:00-11:00 a.m. /2:00-4:00 p.m. (Beijing Time) starting from 8 September 2005 to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of RMB1200 or US$140 The method of payment will be cash, check or directly deposit to our account. If mail service is required, an extra fee of RMB200 or USD25 should be added. ITC will promptly dispatch the documents by registered airmail. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

Applications must be delivered to the Employer (address below) at or before 5:00 p.m. on 7 November 2005. The Employer reserves the right to accept or reject late pplications.

The Employer will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by Applicants in connection with the preparation or delivery of their Applications.

The Employer will notify all Applicants in writing of the names of those Applicants who have been prequalified.
