Contract: Supply, Delivery, Installation, Commissioning, Networking and Maintenance of Computers & Accessories for 100 Computer Learning Centres (CLCs) in schools

The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Secondary Education Modernization Project. Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above.

The Ministry of Education ("the Purchaser") now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Supply, Delivery, Installation, Commissioning, Networking and Maintenance of Computers & Accessories for 100 Computer Learning Centres (CLCs) in schools.

International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.

To obtain the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should:
  • write to the address above
  • pay a non-refundable fee of Rs2,500 or US$30 by cashier's check or cash deposit.

The Purchaser will send the Bidding Document by post for local delivery and by courier service for overseas delivery. The Purchaser accepts no liability for loss or late delivery.

Bidders shall submit their bids:
  • on or before the deadline: 14:00 hours on 23 November 2005. Late bids will be rejected.
  • together with a Bid Security of SLRs3,000,000
  • to the address above

The Purchaser is not responsible for bidders' expenses associated with preparing and delivering bids.

Bids will be opened immediately thereafter:
  • in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend
  • at the address above
