The People's Republic of China has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Chongqing-Guizhou Roads Development Project (Leichong Expressway). Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above.

CMC International Tendering Corporation (CITC), the Procurement Agent, authorized by Guizhou Expressway Development Corp. (GEDC), the Purchaser, now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders from member countries of ADB for the supply, delivery, installation and related services of the following goods:

International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

To obtain the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should:
  • submit a written application to the above address of the Procurement Agent between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm starting from 11 August 2006 (except weekends and holidays)
  • pay a nonrefundable fee of RMB¥1,600 or USD200 for both packages
  • add RMB¥400 or US$50 for documents to be sent by courier. The document will be sent by courier promptly. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

Bidders shall submit their bids:
  • to the above address of the Purchaser
  • on or before the deadline: 10:00 a.m. (Beijing Time) on 22 September 2006. Late bids will be rejected.
  • together with Bid Security of not less than 2% of the total bid price or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency

Bids will be opened immediately in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend at the address given above.

The Purchaser will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of bids.
