The People's Republic of China has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Acid Rain Control and Environmental Improvement Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to eligible payments under the contract for which this Invitation for Bids is issued.

The Procurement Agent, China Far East International Trading Corp., authorized by the Purchaser, Tongling Yaxing Coking Gas Limited Liability Company, invites sealed bids from eligible bidders from member countries of ADB for the supply of the goods:

International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information at the office given below commencing 7 September 2006 from 9:00 a.m. to 17:00 p.m. during working days.

To purchase the Bidding Document in English, eligible bidders should:
  • write to the address above
  • pay a nonrefundable fee of RMB 2,000 or USD 250 in cash or bank draft.

Bidder should deliver their bids:
  • to the address above
  • together with Bid Security of not less than two percent (2%) of the Total Bid Price.
  • on or before 9:00 a.m. (Beijing Time) on 10 November 2006. Late bids will be rejected.

Bids will be opened immediately in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend at the address given above.

The Purchaser is not responsible for bidders' expenses associated with preparing and delivering bids.
