Contract: Process Equipment for Subproject VI - Liaoyuan Water Supply

1. The People's Republic of China has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Jilin Water Supply and Sewerage Development Project. Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above.

2. China International Tendering Company (ITC) the authorized Procurement Agent of the Purchaser Liaoyuan Water Affairs Company Limited, now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders from member countries of ADB for the supply, delivery, and installation of the following:

Package 8: Water Supply Pipe Network Materials and Equipment-Stage Two
Package 9: Secondary Booster Pump Station Materials and Equipment-Stage One
Package 10: Secondary Booster Pump Station Materials and Equipment-Stage Two
Package 11: Drainage Pipe Network Materials and Equipment

3 International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single- Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible countries.

5. To purchase the Bidding Document in English, eligible bidders should:
  • write to the address above
  • pay a non-refundable fee of CNY2,500 or USD300 in cash or cashier's check.

6. The Purchaser will send the Bidding Document by express mail. For an additional fee of CNY50 (domestic) or USD50 (overseas) the Purchaser will send the Bidding Document by courier. The Purchaser accepts no liability for loss or late delivery.

7. Deliver your bid:
  • on or before the deadline: 10:00 am (Beijing time) on 31 August 2006. Late bids will be rejected
  • together with a Bid Security of CNY200,000 or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency

8. Bids will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend.
