1. The Democratic Socialist of Republic of Sri Lanka has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Road Sector Development Project (RSDP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan for the procurement of Land Vehicles.

2. The Chairman, Ministry Procurement Committee, Ministry of Highways, on behalf of the Road Development Authority, now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the supply and delivery of 20 Units, 4WD Land Vehicles.

3. International competitive bidding will be conducted with ADB's Single Stage: One Envelope Bidding Procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.

4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Documents from the address given below:

5. The Bidding Document, in the English language, may be purchased by interested Bidders on the submission of a written application to the address above, on all working days from 1000 hours to 1500 hours and upon payment of a nonrefundable of Rs5,000.

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 1400 hours on 1 November 2006 . All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of Rs 240,000,00 or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of Bidders' representatives who choose to attend at the address given below.
